In their recent e-newsletter, the American Alpine Club presents a cheat sheet to help members and advocates convince other climbers to join. The reasons are compelling, but come on. Not good enough? How about this … the Accidents in North American Mountaineering 2007 edition has been printed and is on its way. That’s a coffee table read if I’ve ever seen one.
Here’s a link to the cheat sheet: http://americanalpineclub.org/pages/page/147. You’ll have to become a member to get your hands on the accident report.
