Just as Team Crested Butte boarded a plane for Scotland to compete in the AR World Championships, C.A.M.P. USA was finalizing its support of another world class adventure athlete. Justin Lichter goes by the trail name Trauma after crossing the United States from North to South three times in 356 days covering more than 10,000 miles with his dog Yoni. Lichter took the ultralight approach that C.A.M.P. has been pushing for more than ten years, which makes him a perfect advocate for the company and a perfect person for testing gear. In the Sierra Nevada’s, he came to rely on his XLC crampons and XLA 210 ice axe, both the lightest in the world at the time. He is now equipped with a mix of prototypes and in-line products that he will be submitting detailed feedback about in order to help C.A.M.P. in its mission to continually improve its gear.
More details about Lichter’s upcoming trips and plans will be forthcoming, but for now, let’s turn our eyes and ears towards Scotland where Team Crested Butte will be vying for a top spot coming off of two decisive victories in the Adventure XStream series here at home.
