12mm Dyneema® flat webbing is more durable than 8mm so we recommend this for everyday climbing. Used properly, 12mm Dyneema® will last for years as double draws and anchor slings. All sizes carry well over the shoulder. An excellent way to carry the 120 and 240cm slings  is to halve them until the loops are the same size as a 60cm sling, then twist the loops and clip the ends together with a locking carabiner.
