SILVER SURFER VIDEO

Duane Raleigh and Jeff Jackson from Rock & Ice have been dropping bolts into sketchy slabs linked by thin ice sheets near Redstone. The result is a style of mixed climbing that delivers the best of all worlds -- thin ice for spice, slabs that feel like 5.12, and overhanging power moves ...

Air CR Harness

AIR CR

LIGHTWEIGHT. FUNCTIONAL. The Air CR is our lightest fully-functional harness. The bigger the climb, the more you are bound to love it. Using hyperlight materials and profiled contours, the boys in Italy have managed to produce a harness that excels on ice, yet is still preferred by our top athletes for everything from gnarly big routes in Patagonia to 5.14 sport climbing. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the Air CR is that even at its miniscule weight, it still boasts features like Hypalon Ice Clipper Slots and our patented No Twist Belay Loop. Or it may be the frequent remark from our athletes that they often forget they are even wearing a harness. The Air CR is a prime example of a piece of technical gear that is stacked on features, but light and tight enough to make a noticeable difference in performance as well.

SKIMO HIGHLIGHTS

6 RACES, THE NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS, ETC. Despite the general lack of snow, the COSMIC and USSMA skimo scene is ripping this year. An early start with the Irwin Lodge race stoked enthusiasm for Grand Targhee, Jackson Hole, Sunlight, Crested Butte and Winter Park. Check out race results on the COSMIC WEBSITE and the USSMA WEBSITE. Special congratulations to Janelle Smiley (USA) and Reiner Thoni (Canada) who took first in the ISMF North American Championships on Sunday in Crested Butte and special thanks to Bryan Wickenhauser, CB Mountain Resort and CB Mountain Guides who put together a stunning course that included fixed lines on the rocky ridge leading to the true summit of the mountain and the first sprint race in North America.
