Sometimes you’ve got to hit bottom before you can start coming up. And if you are seeking the steepest rock climbing on earth, that means literally going underground into a massive network of caves to establish pitch after pitch of massively overhanging subterranean madness. CAMP global athlete and climbing legend Stefan Glowacz recently teamed up with Chris Sharma to equip and send a massive 13-pitch 5.14a in Oman, reached by making a 180m rappel from the desert floor.
As usual, Rock&Ice has a great set of photos from the climb.
